A couple years ago I got back into Chicken Smoothie, a pet adoptables site I was REALLY involved with the way some people were on Club Penguin or Neopets. Nowadays I fell off it again, but I usually remember to check it in time to adopt the monthly pets.

I just logged on in time to catch the Easter event, which is fun because it gives you a reason to hang around and play a silly internet game. The first pets for the event are pretty cute

I haven't been to a convention—really, ACen, which was my regular con for almost a decade—since before COVID hit. But my boss asked us for our May schedules, and ACen is this May, so I pulled the pin and signed up to attend for a day!

I have a cosplay ready, since I was Miku for Halloween last year, but I need a few things to get it together. Notably a wig cap so I don't go insane, and I need to add pockets to the skirt I made, so I also don't go insane.

NPC: ..........I see.
DM: Yeah, you're not giving this man good news, and it shows.
Artificer: He gets the impression that [Artificer] is also not having a good time saying any of this
 

UGH, i've been dealing with period stuff all day. first the reusable pads keep trying to escape so they're no longer catching any blood, then i bleed through one and i have no idea if it was my flow or the pad's fault, and NOW i have to do another load of (bloody) laundry at 11 at night. i have work tomorrow morning :(


when it rains, it pours

spent all evening looking for potential replacement watches. eventually gave up, figured out how to get the current watch's battery out, and bought battery replacements off amazon (ugh).

next year when I go to Ren Faire, I need to find those guys who were selling manual-wind pocket watches again. (tumblr voice) that will fix me

I was never on livejournal (it was mostly gone by the time I got into fandom) but i think dreamwidth is an interesting site to explore if tumblr DOES go poof one day...


it's going to be weird, because no one posts like they do on tumblr outside of tumblr. i'll really miss it, if it ever is gone. i'm already using better grammar here than i ever did on tumblr, lol
