getting back into wristwatches

spent all evening looking for potential replacement watches. eventually gave up, figured out how to get the current watch's battery out, and bought battery replacements off amazon (ugh).

next year when I go to Ren Faire, I need to find those guys who were selling manual-wind pocket watches again. (tumblr voice) that will fix me

The batteries arrived, and were great, and I was enjoying being a person who wears a watch and being able to check the time without digging out my phone...


...For like a week and a half, at which point my watch strap tore in half right along the face. Now it's back to the phone.
